How to Access Services
Honors College students can schedule therapy appointments with Julie Lorio, LCSW,
by calling the Student Health Center at (225) 578-8774 and requesting to meet with the
Honors College therapist.
Additionally, all students have access to same-day, walk-in appointments at the Student Health Center on Infirmary Lane. Mental health services are available on the second floor of the Student Health Center.
The Student Health Center also offers specialized support and in-person or virtual groups and seminars.

Meet Your Provider
Julie Lorio, LCSW | 122 French House
Julie Lorio joined the Ogden Honors College staff in January 2023. She brings a wealth of expertise and is a two-time LSU alumna, having earned both her Bachelor of Science in psychology and Master of Social Work from the university.
She provides individual therapy and is passionate about promoting emotional wellbeing.
“I am thrilled to return to LSU in this capacity to assist students and promote healthy emotional wellbeing,” Lorio said. “I hope this idea of having therapists embedded in departments becomes popular across campus and even nationally, as we address the mental health crisis on college campuses.”
